AeroBytes
Using technology to protect what we can't afford to lose

MissionOur mission is to observe and protect bird populations across natural ecosystems, using accessible technology to understand their behavior and evolution, supporting conservation and biodiversity balance with care, collaboration, and responsibility.
We set up monitoring systems in natural areas, using sound sensors, daytime cameras, and thermal imaging to capture bird activity over time, allowing us to observe both visible behavior and movement that would otherwise go unnoticed.

We study the data we collect to understand which birds are present, how they behave, and how their activity changes across different environments, helping us build a clearer and more complete view of ecosystem dynamics.

We identify shifts in activity, presence, and movement patterns, helping us notice early signs that something in the ecosystem may be changing and better understand how these changes can affect bird populations over time.

We contribute to conservation efforts by sharing insights that help protect bird populations and their habitats. We promote responsible monitoring practices, support informed decisions, and encourage collaboration between people, projects, and organizations working to preserve biodiversity.

Thanks to our partners, collaborators and volunteers. Thanks also to our founder, who drove this initiative from the very beginning.
Combining technology with nature is how we protect what matters.
Our work is driven by the need to understand and protect bird populations across natural ecosystems. By combining technology with continuous observation, we generate data that helps detect changes, support conservation decisions, and respond before species are lost. Every signal we capture and every pattern we identify contributes to a clearer understanding of how to preserve biodiversity over time.

From quiet signals to real-world insight: the impact of every system
Through the integration of field hardware and data-driven software, we are able to better understand birdlife across natural ecosystems. In the past year, AeroBytes Wild has deployed monitoring systems that combine acoustic sensing, visual observation, and thermal imaging to capture continuous data in real environments. These are not just recordings or images — they are layers of information that help reveal patterns, track changes, and support decisions that contribute to the long-term protection of bird populations.
Acoustic Monitoring Systems
Captures environmental sound to identify bird species by their calls, enabling continuous monitoring of presence and activity without the need for direct visual observation.

Data Processing Platform
Processes and organizes collected data, allowing patterns to be identified over time and transforming raw inputs into meaningful insights for conservation and ecosystem understanding.

Visual & Thermal Cameras
/ IR
Combines daytime cameras with thermal imaging to observe bird activity across light conditions, including nocturnal movement that would otherwise remain undetected.
